Strong Needs Your Help!

Emergency Update!

Our recent emergency rescue dog that was hit by car two nights ago, we have named, Strong.
We are still trying to raise the money needed to cover the extensive vet bills. We have raised around $4000, which is amazing! The bill will reach around 10,000+ after all is said and done with the surgery too. We are almost half way there!

ADOPTABLE DOGS

Adoptable Cubbie

Adoptable Cubbie

Meet Adoptable Cubbie! Cubbie is a 11 week old, female, 3-4lb, Chihuahua, mixed breed. Cubbie and her sister, Tui, came to us from Downtown Vancouver when they were only 3 weeks old, and are now 11 weeks old and ready for their forever homes. They have received 2 round of vaccinations and have been deemed healthy, but do have a couple health notes the vet mentioned potential adopters should be aware of. This includes a bit of an attention lapse where it appears the brain is trying to process something, and they are a bit slow to process or understand it. This could be nothing, or potentially develop into something later on. They are currently located in Vancouver, BC and…

Adoptable Lady

Adoptable Lady

Meet Adoptable Lady! Lady is a 8 month old, female, 31lb, brindle. Staffordshire Terrier, mixed breed. Lady came to us from living outside on a chain while being badly emaciated. Since her arrival she has been gaining weight and starting to learn all the things about indoor living and the big world outside when on walks. She is only 31lbs at 8 months old and will most likely stay around 40lbs full grown. She is currently located in Courtenay, BC. Here are some words form her foster Mom: Lady has been such a smart girl that has come a long way in a few weeks in regards to learning how to “dog”. She loves people and is not afraid to…

Adoptable Dodge

Adoptable Dodge

Meet Adoptable Dodge. Dodge is a Cattle Dog X Staffy. 60lbs. 3-4 years old. Short and stocky. Spotted tri-colour. He is a very sweet boy that will follow you everywhere, is very smart, loves to cuddle, loves exercise of all kinds and food puzzles, training, playing with his toys, and craves your love and attention. Dodge can be dog and car reactive on leash sometimes, but not all the time, so somewhere a bit quieter out of the city or in the country would be nice for him. He listens well with a strong and patient leader. We know he can be ok with some other dogs, but he was just neutered and will be starting on more socialization with…

Remi

Remi

Adopted! Yayy Remi! Happy Tail – “Remi (formally Chewie) came into our lives in the blink of an eye and changed every part of it for the better. We had always talked about how we hoped our future dog would be an “old man” and that is exactly what Remi has proven to be already. Tall and lanky, playful and smart, but the last one out of bed every morning. He may actually be part cat, as he makes meowing sounds in place of barking. He loves every dog, cat, human and dandelion he meets and already has a long list of close pals. Exploring the forest trails and beaches are by far his favourite pass time – always close…

Zipper

Zipper

Adopted! Yayy Zipper! Happy Tail – Clyde (now Zipper). We welcomed Zipper into our home in August and to say he has brought new energy into our lives is an understatement. This guy bounces, rolls, plays, and zooms with reckless abandon. He is an absolutely riot! His favourite activities are wrestling and running with other dogs at the park, using the sofa as a trampoline, and playing tug or chase. The small critters outside are of particular interest to him so we’re working hard on recall and impulse control to get him out hiking and biking on the trails with us. In the meantime he’s enjoying adventures from the safety of a long lead; he has already explored some of…

Neville

Neville

Adopted! Yaayy Neville! Happy Tail – Coming to us from @RainCoast Dog Rescue Society, “Nervous Neville” traveled all the way from Marley’s Mutts in Bakersfield, California to the wild west (and very wet) coast of Vancouver Island to complete our family. Although he’s still nervous of the sights, smells and sounds of Victoria, Neville is starting to become more and more of a character. Amazing on leash, incredibly attentive and always very close by, Neville has the makings of one perfect pup. We are so happy to be his forever home and we bet that with some time, even Naomi the cat will be excited too. Thanks to the spectacular @Amanda Cribdon Photography for capturing our family 🤍 DM her…

Ripley

Ripley

Adopted! Yayyy Ripley! Happy Tail – We are so lucky to have Ripley (previously Bell) in our lives. From the second we saw her as she came to us as a foster, we knew she wasn’t going anywhere! She had our hearts from “hello”. She gets sillier by the day and absolutely loves to go for a good swim, but most of all, she just wants to cuddle with her people. She’s a pro cuddler. We are so grateful for RainCoast Dog Rescue and Marley’s Mutts for helping save this beautiful soul and bringing her to us. Welcome to the family, Ripley!

Scout

Scout

Adopted! Yaayy Scout! Happy Tail – This is Scout. He’s the best little boy ever. He came into my life unexpectedly, as I only intended to foster him, (along with his mom and sister) for a short period of time until the kitties got adopted and the mom got sent back to her family. I was on the hunt for a pup actually. But while I was fostering him and his mom/sister, he would climb onto my lap and cuddle with me and sleep next to me all the time. He was super playful and wouldn’t leave me alone. Needless to say I fell in love with little Scout and decided to keep him. He’s been the best little companion…
