ADOPTABLE DOGS

Adoptable Mystique and Bear

Meet Adoptable Mystique and Bear! Mystique (female)and Bear (Male) are 5.5 months old, 32-35lbs, mixed breeds. These beautiful pups originally come from Buffalo Lake, Alberta. These two sweet pups are brother and sister and have done really well with other dogs and people so far, have spent time in a foster with young kids and a Newfoundlander, as well as another foster in Edmonton that was a short term that has dogs. They are doing well with their leash training and getting used to the big city. They are a medium level energy, would do great with another dog companion, and will most likely be up to 50lb full grown. We are adopting them our separately as they are siblings…

Adoptable Mishka

Adoptable Mishka

Meet Adoptable Mishka! Mishka is a Mishka, 4-5 month old, female, 32lb, Alaskan Malamute, mixed breed. Mishka is currently located in Vancouver, BC. Here are some words from her foster: I’m a smart and curious playful puppy who like hanging out with my human pack, going for walks, playing with my rope toy, or just laying outside on the deck. My foster crew has been working with me on my house manners and I’m doing great! I ring the bell to go out to the bathroom (I do still have the occasional miss), use the bathroom in a designated area, sleep in my crate through the night. I’m currently living with a 9-year-old and a 13-year-old and enjoy playing with…

Adoptable Marty

Adoptable Marty

ADOPTION PENDING.. Meet Adoptable Marty! Marty is a 1 year old, male, 12lb, white and black coat, Terrier mixed breed. Marty is a super fun loving young pup that loves to go for walks and sniff all the sniffs, go on adventures to new places to explore, and if you have a fenced yard would love to rip around off leash and do zoomies. He is pretty good walking on leash right now, but is still learning leash manners and to control his excitement when seeing and meeting other dogs on leash. He is very smart and will do just fine with someone that has the time, patience and energy for this happy guy. Marty likes to play with his…

Adoptable Blue

Adoptable Blue

ADOPTION PENDING.. Meet Adoptable Blue! Blue is a 2-3 year old, female, 85lb, Bluenose, Staffordshire Bull Terrier X American Pitbull Terrier. Blue originally came to us as pregnant, but it turns out she was having a phantom pregnancy. There were no babies, just weight gain, swollen mammaries and lactation. Blue has lived in a great foster home that is pet free, with 3 very loving people that have showered her with love and affection since day one, and she has settled in so well with them over the last few months since she’s been there. She’s just a classic house potato. Blue was just recently spayed and has healed, so we are just starting to socialize her with other dogs…

Adoptable Maisy

Adoptable Maisy

ADOPTION PENDING.. Meet Adoptable Maisy! Maisy is a 2 year old, female, 34lb, white coat with black trim, mixed breed. Maisy has been in her foster home for three weeks now and they absolutely love her, and she has made herself at home. She may be only 34lbs, but she is a strong girl with a very sweet, loyal, fun, and affectionate side that loves your attention and affection, and returns it right back. Maisy likes to go for walks, hikes and all sorts of exploring outside, but will require someone with some strength to walk her sometimes, as she will take any chance she can get to chase a squirrel or bird, or sometimes bark at other dogs. She…

WORDS FROM OUR NEW OWNERS

Remi

Remi

Adopted! Yayy Remi! Happy Tail – “Remi (formally Chewie) came into our lives in the blink of an eye and changed every part of it for the better. We had always talked about how we hoped our future dog would be an “old man” and that is exactly what Remi has proven to be already. Tall and lanky, playful and smart, but the last one out of bed every morning. He may actually be part cat, as he makes meowing sounds in place of barking. He loves every dog, cat, human and dandelion he meets and already has a long list of close pals. Exploring the forest trails and beaches are by far his favourite pass time – always close…

Zipper

Zipper

Adopted! Yayy Zipper! Happy Tail – Clyde (now Zipper). We welcomed Zipper into our home in August and to say he has brought new energy into our lives is an understatement. This guy bounces, rolls, plays, and zooms with reckless abandon. He is an absolutely riot! His favourite activities are wrestling and running with other dogs at the park, using the sofa as a trampoline, and playing tug or chase. The small critters outside are of particular interest to him so we’re working hard on recall and impulse control to get him out hiking and biking on the trails with us. In the meantime he’s enjoying adventures from the safety of a long lead; he has already explored some of…

Neville

Neville

Adopted! Yaayy Neville! Happy Tail – Coming to us from @RainCoast Dog Rescue Society, “Nervous Neville” traveled all the way from Marley’s Mutts in Bakersfield, California to the wild west (and very wet) coast of Vancouver Island to complete our family. Although he’s still nervous of the sights, smells and sounds of Victoria, Neville is starting to become more and more of a character. Amazing on leash, incredibly attentive and always very close by, Neville has the makings of one perfect pup. We are so happy to be his forever home and we bet that with some time, even Naomi the cat will be excited too. Thanks to the spectacular @Amanda Cribdon Photography for capturing our family 🤍 DM her…

Ripley

Ripley

Adopted! Yayyy Ripley! Happy Tail – We are so lucky to have Ripley (previously Bell) in our lives. From the second we saw her as she came to us as a foster, we knew she wasn’t going anywhere! She had our hearts from “hello”. She gets sillier by the day and absolutely loves to go for a good swim, but most of all, she just wants to cuddle with her people. She’s a pro cuddler. We are so grateful for RainCoast Dog Rescue and Marley’s Mutts for helping save this beautiful soul and bringing her to us. Welcome to the family, Ripley!

Scout

Scout

Adopted! Yaayy Scout! Happy Tail – This is Scout. He’s the best little boy ever. He came into my life unexpectedly, as I only intended to foster him, (along with his mom and sister) for a short period of time until the kitties got adopted and the mom got sent back to her family. I was on the hunt for a pup actually. But while I was fostering him and his mom/sister, he would climb onto my lap and cuddle with me and sleep next to me all the time. He was super playful and wouldn’t leave me alone. Needless to say I fell in love with little Scout and decided to keep him. He’s been the best little companion…
